Reseguide PARIS av Fanny Castro

Paris: the capital of elegance.

Welcome to Paris, the city of cities that has attracted travelers, artists and dreamers for centuries. Paris is more than a city, it is a living scene where creativity, style and history meet in a unique mix.

Whether you're here for the first time or returning to relive the magic, Paris has something to offer everyone. From the majestic silhouette of the Eiffel Tower and the impressive art collections of the Louvre to the cozy cafes along the Seine, every street breathes history, culture and romance. Forget the beaten tourist tracks – in Paris it's all about discovering the unexpected.

Join us on a journey through the charm of Paris, where each neighborhood offers its own unique atmosphere and where every corner is waiting to be discovered.

Café Charlot- 8 Rue de Bretagne, 75003 Paris

Located in a charming corner building is my absolute favorite place in Paris, namely Café Charlot. I love starting the day here with their delicious breakfast and people-watching, both restaurant-goers and passers-by. Here you can enjoy everything from a perfect croissant and café au lait to lunch classics such as croque-monsieur, salad niçoise and steak tartare. I would also say that Café Charlot is absolutely the most perfect place for an afternoon glass of rosé on a warm May evening.

Merci- 11 Bd Beaumarchais, 75003 Paris

Merci is one of Paris' most loved concept stores. With its unique blend of fashion, design, and lifestyle products, Merci has become a destination for Parisians and visitors from around the world alike. The store has three floors and offers carefully selected clothes, furniture, books, and accessories from both established and new designers.

Merci is not only a store but also a place for inspiration and creativity. In the beautiful, bright environment, you will also find a cozy cafe where you can take a break and enjoy a good cup of coffee or a light lunch.

Wild & The Moon- 4 Rue du Helder, 75009 Paris

For health enthusiasts, Wild & The Moon is a must when visiting Paris. I go here for their different fun juices, my favorite is “The Glow”. If you don't feel like juice, they have insanely good salads and various super bowls.

Don't miss visiting this green oasis for a refreshing break during your stay in Paris.

Tax Vintage- 25 Rue Saint-Paul, 75004 Paris

Skat Vintage is owned by the couple Agnes Salto who comes from Denmark, hence the store's name, and Mathias de Cevins who is from Paris. Here you will find handpicked vintage that really feels like little treasures. The icing on the cake is their sickly cute dog, which is also called Skat.

Hotel Les Deux Gares- 2 Rue des Deux Gares, 75010 Paris

Between Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est lies Hotel Les Deux Gares, a hotel that is a colorful and stylish oasis in the middle of Paris. Designed by British interior designer Luke Edward Hall, this charming boutique hotel combines classic Parisian elegance with playful modernity.

Rooms at Les Deux Gares are decorated with a vibrant mix of colors and patterns, where vintage-inspired furniture and artwork meet modern amenities to create a harmonious balance between old and new.

Chez Janou - 2 Rue Roger Verlomme, 75003 Paris

In the heart of the Marais you will find Chez Janou, a restaurant that embodies the authentic French bistro culture. With its relaxed atmosphere and friendly service, this is the perfect place for both lunch and dinner. The restaurant is known for its delicious Provençal menu, where classics such as ratatouille, duck and crème brûlée take center stage. Don't miss their impressive selection of pastis, a traditional French aperitif, said to be one of the largest in all of Paris. The cozy outdoor dining area is perfect for enjoying a meal during the warm months. With its genuine atmosphere and flavorful dishes, Chez Janou offers an unforgettable dining experience that captures the essence of Paris.

Palais Royal - Palais-Royal, 75001 Paris

Right in the heart of Paris, near the Louvre, lies the magnificent Palais Royal, a place that offers both historical charm and modern beauty. Built in the 17th century, this elegant palace complex has been home to royalty  and is today a popular retreat for Parisians and visitors alike.

The beautiful gardens of the Palais Royal, the Jardin du Palais Royal, offer a tranquil oasis with symmetrical flower beds, fountains and tree-lined walkways. Here you can go for a walk, read a book or just enjoy the peaceful atmosphere in the heart of the city.

I love to go here and buy a coffee from Café Kitsuné and sit around the fountain in the middle and just soak up how beautiful and peaceful it is.

The Hoxton - 30-32 Rue du Sentier, 75002 Paris

Hoxton Paris is both a very nice hotel in the middle of the city but also has a nice restaurant and bar to visit even if you don't live there. Their courtyard is magical and there is always room. Also perhaps the only place in Paris that has a changing table if you need it. The vibe here is always great, the drinks are magically good and usually a good DJ spinning records here.

Beau voyage!
